Climate
Northeastern France is a region of low mountains, plains and valleys. It is cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and spring and autumn are relatively short. It can still be very pleasant in late October, however, and it's not unusual for us to barbecue in our T-shirts.
The Vosges mountains can reach heights of 400- 600 meters. They are not the French Alps, but these mountains offer ideal alpine skiing conditions for amateurs and children.
In the Vosges region it rains more than the Alsce region. Colmar is the city of France with the less rain fall per year !
